1 Woe to her that is rebellious and polluted! to the oppressing city! 2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in Jehovah; she drew not near to her God. 3 Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they leave nothing till the morrow. 4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons; her priests have profaned the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law. 5 Jehovah in the midst of her is righteous; he will not do iniquity; every morning doth he bring his justice to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. 6 I have cut off nations; their battlements are desolate; I have made their streets waste, so that none passeth by; their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant. 7 I said, Only fear thou me; receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her: but they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

8 Therefore wait ye for me, saith Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger; for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

9 For then will I turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent. 10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. 11 In that day shalt thou not be put to shame for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proudly exulting ones, and thou shalt no more be haughty in my holy mountain. 12 But I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall take refuge in the name of Jehovah. 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. 15 Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not fear evil any more. 16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not; O Zion, let not thy hands be slack. 17 Jehovah thy God is in the midst of thee, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love; he will joy over thee with singing. 18 I will gather them that sorrow for the solemn assembly, who were of thee; to whom the burden upon her was a reproach. 19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all them that afflict thee; and I will save that which is lame, and gather that which was driven away; and I will make them a praise and a name, whose shame hath been in all the earth. 20 At that time will I bring you in, and at that time will I gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring back your captivity before your eyes, saith Jehovah.

El nu face nicio nelegiuire; în fiecare dimineață, El Își scoate la lumină judecățile fără să înceteze vreodată, dar cine este nelegiuit*Ier. 3:3;6:15;8:12. nu știe de rușine! 6 „Am nimicit neamuri, le-am dărâmat turnurile, le-am pustiit ulițele și nu mai trece nimeni pe ele! Cetățile lor sunt pustiite, nu mai au niciun om în ele și nimeni nu mai locuiește în ele! 7 Ziceam*Ier. 8:6.: ‘Dacă ai voi măcar să te temi de Mine și să ții seama de mustrare! Nu ți-ar fi nimicită locuința și n-ar veni peste tine toate pedepsele cu care te-am amenințat.’ Dar ei s-au grăbit să-și*Gen. 6:12. strice toate faptele. 8 De aceea așteptați*Ps. 27:14;37:34.Prov. 20:22. numai", zice Domnul, „până în ziua când Mă voi scula la pradă, căci am hotărât să strâng*Ioel 3:2. neamurile, să adun împărățiile, ca să-Mi vărs urgia peste ele, toată aprinderea mâniei Mele, căci toată țara va fi mistuită*Cap. 1:18. de focul geloziei Mele. 9 Atunci voi da popoarelor buze curate*Is. 19:18., ca toți să cheme Numele Domnului, ca să-I slujească într-un gând. 10 Dincolo*Ps. 68:31.Is. 18:1,7;60:4.Mal. 1:11.Fapte 8:27. de râurile Etiopiei Îmi vor aduce daruri de mâncare închinătorii mei, obștea Mea cea risipită. 11 În ziua aceea, nu vei mai avea nevoie să roșești de toate faptele tale prin care ai păcătuit împotriva Mea, căci atunci voi scoate din mijlocul tău pe cei trufași*Ier. 7:4.Mica 3:11.Mat. 3:9. și nu te vei mai îngâmfa pe muntele Meu cel sfânt! 12 Voi lăsa în mijlocul tău un popor*Is. 14:32.Zah. 11:11.Mat. 5:3.1 Cor. 1:27,28.Iac. 2:5. smerit și mic, care se va încrede în Numele Domnului. 13 Rămășițele*Mica 4:7. Cap. 2:7. lui Israel nu*Is. 60:21. vor mai săvârși nelegiuire, nu vor mai spune minciuni*Is. 63:8.Apoc. 14:5. și nici în gura lor nu se va mai găsi o limbă înșelătoare. Ci vor paște*Ezec. 34:28.Mica 4:4;7:14. și se vor odihni și nimeni nu-i va tulbura." 14 Strigă*Is. 12:6;54:1.Zah. 2:10;9:9. de bucurie, fiica Sionului! Strigă de veselie, Israele! Bucură-te și saltă de veselie din toată inima ta, fiica Ierusalimului! 15 Domnul a abătut de la tine pedepsele tale, a îndepărtat pe vrăjmașul tău; Domnul, Împăratul*Ioan 1:49. lui Israel, este în*Ezec. 48:35. Vers. 5,17.Apoc. 7:15;21:3,4. mijlocul tău; nu trebuie să te mai temi de nicio nenorocire! 16 În ziua aceea, se va zice*Is. 35:3,4. Ierusalimului: „Nu te teme de nimic! Sioane, să nu-ți*Evr. 12:12. slăbească mâinile! 17 Domnul Dumnezeul tău este în mijlocul tău*Vers. 15., ca un viteaz care poate ajuta; Se va bucura*Deut. 30:9.Is. 62:5;65:19.Ier. 32:41. de tine cu mare bucurie, va tăcea în dragostea Lui și nu va mai putea de veselie pentru tine." 18 „Voi strânge pe cei întristați*Plâng. 2:6. care sunt departe de adunarea sfântă, pe cei ieșiți din sânul tău asupra cărora acum apasă ocara. 19 Iată, în vremea aceea, voi lucra împotriva tuturor asupritorilor tăi; voi izbăvi pe cei șchiopi*Ezec. 34:16.Mica 4:6,7. și voi strânge pe cei ce au fost izgoniți și îi voi face o pricină de laudă și de slavă în toate țările unde sunt de ocară acum. 20 În vremea aceea, vă voi aduce*Is. 11:12;27:12;56:8.Ezec. 28:25;34:13;37:21.Amos 9:14. înapoi; în vremea aceea, vă voi strânge, căci vă voi face o pricină de slavă și de laudă între toate popoarele pământului, când voi aduce înapoi pe prinșii voștri de război sub ochii voștri", zice Domnul.
