1 I love Jehovah, because he heareth

My voice and my supplications.

2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,

Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

3 The cords of death compassed me,

And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me:

I found trouble and sorrow.

4 Then called I upon the name of Jehovah:

O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous;

Yea, our God is merciful.

6 Jehovah preserveth the simple:

I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul;

For Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death,

Mine eyes from tears,

And my feet from falling.

9 I will walk before Jehovah

In the land of the living.

10 I believe, for I will speak:

I was greatly afflicted:

11 I said in my haste,

All men are liars.

12 What shall I render unto Jehovah

For all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation,

And call upon the name of Jehovah.

14 I will pay my vows unto Jehovah,

Yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of Jehovah

Is the death of his saints.

16 O Jehovah, truly I am thy servant:

I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid;

Thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving,

And will call upon the name of Jehovah.

18 I will pay my vows unto Jehovah,

Yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 In the courts of Jehovah’s house,

In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.

Praise ye Jehovah.

1 Iubesc*Ps. 18:1. pe Domnul, căci El aude

glasul meu, cererile mele.

2 Da, El Și-a plecat urechea spre mine,

de aceea-L voi chema toată viața mea.

3 Mă înfășuraseră legăturile*Ps. 18:4-6. morții

și m-apucaseră sudorile mormântului;

eram pradă necazului și durerii.

4 Dar am chemat Numele Domnului și am zis:

„Doamne, mântuiește-mi sufletul!"

5 Domnul este milostiv*Ps. 103:8. și drept*Ezra 9:15.Neem. 9:8.Ps. 119:137;145:17.

și Dumnezeul nostru este plin de îndurare.

6 Domnul păzește pe cei fără răutate:

eram nenorocit de tot, dar El m-a mântuit.

7 Întoarce-te, suflete, la odihna*Ier. 6:16.Mat. 11:29. ta,

căci Domnul*Ps. 13:6;119:17. ți-a făcut bine!

8 Da*Ps. 56:13., Tu mi-ai izbăvit sufletul de la moarte,

ochii din lacrimi și picioarele de cădere.

9 Voi umbla înaintea Domnului,

pe*Ps. 27:13. pământul celor vii.

10 Aveam*2 Cor. 4:13. dreptate când ziceam:

„Sunt foarte nenorocit!"

11 În neliniștea mea, ziceam*Ps. 31:22.:

„Orice*Rom. 3:4. om este înșelător."

12 Cum voi răsplăti Domnului

toate binefacerile Lui față de mine?

13 Voi înălța paharul izbăvirilor

și voi chema Numele Domnului;

14 îmi voi împlini juruințele*Vers. 18.Ps. 22:25.Iona 2:9. făcute Domnului,

în fața întregului Său popor.

15 Scumpă*Ps. 72:14. este înaintea Domnului

moartea celor iubiți de El.

16 Ascultă-mă, Doamne, căci sunt robul*Ps. 119:125;143:12. Tău:

robul Tău, fiul*Ps. 86:16. roabei Tale,

și Tu mi-ai desfăcut legăturile!

17 Îți voi aduce o jertfă*Lev. 7:12.Ps. 50:14;107:22. de mulțumire

și voi chema Numele Domnului;

18 îmi voi împlini juruințele*Vers. 14. făcute Domnului

în fața întregului Său popor,

19 în curțile*Ps. 96:8;100:4;135:2. Casei Domnului,

în mijlocul tău, Ierusalime!
