1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof; 3 and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4 And I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord. 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it. 8 Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. 10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; these are the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12 And I answered the second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden oil out of themselves? 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Eu am zis: „Nu, domnul meu." 6 Atunci, el a luat din nou cuvântul și mi-a zis: „Acesta este cuvântul Domnului către Zorobabel și sună astfel: ‘Lucrul acesta nu se va face nici prin putere*Osea 1:7., nici prin tărie, ci prin Duhul Meu’, zice Domnul oștirilor. 7 ‘Cine ești tu, munte mare*Ier. 51:25.Mat. 21:21., înaintea lui Zorobabel? Te vei preface într-un loc șes. El va pune piatra cea mai însemnată*Ps. 118:22. în vârful Templului, în mijlocul strigătelor*Ezra 3:11,13. de: «Îndurare, îndurare cu ea!»’" 8 Cuvântul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel: 9 „Mâinile lui Zorobabel au întemeiat*Ezra 3:10. Casa aceasta și tot mâinile lui o vor isprăvi*Ezra 6:15.; și veți*Cap. 2:9,11;6:15. ști dacă Domnul*Is. 48:16. Cap. 2:8. oștirilor m-a trimis la voi. 10 Căci cine disprețuiește ziua începuturilor slabe*Hag. 2:3.? Aceștia șapte vor privi cu bucurie cumpăna în mâna lui Zorobabel. Aceștia șapte sunt ochii*2 Cron. 16:9.Prov. 15:3. Cap. 3:9. Domnului, care cutreieră tot pământul." 11 Eu am luat cuvântul și i-am zis: „Ce înseamnă acești doi măslini, la dreapta sfeșnicului și la stânga lui?" 12 Am luat a doua oară cuvântul și i-am zis: „Ce înseamnă cele două ramuri*Vers. 3. de măslin care sunt lângă cele două țevi de aur prin care curge uleiul auriu din el?" 13 El mi-a răspuns: „Nu știi ce înseamnă?" Eu am zis: „Nu, domnul meu." Și el a zis: 14 „Aceștia sunt cei doi unși*Apoc. 11:4. care stau*Cap. 3:7.Luca 1:1,9. înaintea Domnului*Ios. 3:11,13. Cap. 6:5. întregului pământ."
