11Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy living and godliness,

6The burden of the beasts of the South.Through the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the humps of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
15For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:
24the oxen likewise and the young asses that till the ground shall eat savory provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.
6But godliness with contentment is great gain:
16who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen.

6Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
10For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11For behold, this selfsame thing, that ye were made sorry after a godly sort, what earnest care it wrought in you, yea what clearing of yourselves, yea what indignation, yea what fear, yea what longing, yea what zeal, yea what avenging! In everything ye approved yourselves to be pure in the matter.
6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, even Christ:
13But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.
2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
8For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

5How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou be angry for ever?Shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

10Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God?Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants which is shedBe known among the nations in our sight.
11What is my strength, that I should wait?And what is mine end, that I should be patient?
23Or, Deliver me from the adversary’s hand?Or, Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?
25How forcible are words of uprightness!But your reproof, what doth it reprove?
13Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as the whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are ruined.
14O Jerusalem, wash thy heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thine evil thoughts lodge within thee?
19My anguish, my anguish! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted in me; I cannot hold my peace; because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

13What shall I testify unto thee? what shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem?What shall I compare to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion?For thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?
20See, O Jehovah, and behold to whom thou hast done thus!Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands?Shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
5but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily hath the love of God been perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him:
12I write unto you, my little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
13I write unto you, fathers, because ye know him who is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the evil one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye know the Father.
21And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
47praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved.
