1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. He was without sin and upright, fearing God and keeping himself far from evil.

2 And he had seven sons and three daughters.

3 And of cattle he had seven thousand sheep and goats, and three thousand camels, and a thousand oxen, and five hundred she-asses, and a very great number of servants. And the man was greater than any of the sons of the east.

1 烏 斯 地 、 有 一 個 人 名 叫 約 伯 ． 那 人 完 全 正 直 、 敬 畏 神 、 遠 離 惡 事 。

2 他 生 了 七 個 兒 子 、 三 個 女 兒 ．

3 他 的 家 產 有 七 千 羊 、 三 千 駱 駝 、 五 百 對 牛 、 五 百 母 驢 、 並 有 許 多 僕 婢 ． 這 人 在 東 方 人 中 就 為 至 大 。
