1 And when Jesus had come to the end of all these words, he said to his disciples,
2 After two days is the Passover, and the Son of man will be given up to the death of the cross.
3 Then the chief priests and the rulers of the people came together in the house of the high priest, who was named Caiaphas.
4 And they made designs together to take Jesus by some trick, and put him to death.
5 But they said, Not while the feast is going on, for fear of trouble among the people.
6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,
7 There came to him a woman having a bottle of perfume of great price, and she put the perfume on his head when he was seated at table.
8 But when the disciples saw it they were angry, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For we might have got much money for this and given it to the poor.
10 But Jesus, seeing it, said to them, Why are you troubling the woman? she has done a kind act to me.
11 For the poor you have ever with you, but me you have not for ever.
12 For in putting this perfume on my body, she did it to make me ready for my last resting-place.
13 Truly I say to you, Wherever this good news goes out in all the world, what this woman has done will be talked of in memory of her.
14 Then one of the twelve, who was named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said,
15 What will you give me, if I give him up to you? And the price was fixed at thirty bits of silver.
16 And from that time he was watching for a chance to give him into their hands.
17 Now on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where are we to make ready for you to take the Passover meal?
18 And he said to them, Go into the town to such a man, and say to him, The Master says, My time is near: I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had said to them; and they made ready the Passover.
20 Now when evening was come, he was seated at table with the twelve disciples;
21 And while they were taking food, he said, Truly I say to you that one of you will be false to me.
22 And they were very said, and said to him, one by one, Is it I, Lord?
23 And he made answer and said, He who puts his hand into the plate with me, the same will be false to me.
24 The Son of man goes, even as the Writings say of him: but a curse is on that man through whom the Son of man is given up; it would have been well for that man if he had never come into the world.
25 And Judas, who was false to him, made answer and said, Is it I, Master? He says to him, Yes.
26 And when they were taking food, Jesus took bread and, after blessing it, he gave the broken bread to the disciples and said, Take it; this is my body.
27 And he took a cup and, having given praise, he gave it to them, saying,
28 Take of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the testament, which is given for men for the forgiveness of sins.
1 Und es geschah, als Jesus alle diese Reden vollendet hatte, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern:
2 Ihr wisset, daß nach zwei Tagen das Passah ist, und der Sohn des Menschen wird überliefert, um gekreuzigt zu werden.
3 Dann versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volkes in den Hof des Hohenpriesters, der Kajaphas hieß,
4 und ratschlagten miteinander, auf daß sie Jesum mit List griffen und töteten.
5 Sie sagten aber: Nicht an dem Feste, auf daß nicht ein Aufruhr unter dem Volk entstehe.
6 Als aber Jesus in Bethanien war, im Hause Simons, des Aussätzigen,
7 kam ein Weib zu ihm, die ein Alabasterfläschchen mit sehr kostbarer Salbe hatte, und goß es aus auf sein Haupt, als er zu Tische lag.
8 Als aber die Jünger es sahen, wurden sie unwillig und sprachen: Wozu diese Verschwendung?
9 denn dieses hätte um vieles verkauft und den Armen gegeben werden können.
10 Als aber Jesus es erkannte, sprach er zu ihnen: Was machet ihr dem Weibe Mühe? denn sie hat ein gutes Werk an mir getan;
11 denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.
12 Denn indem sie diese Salbe über meinen Leib geschüttet hat, hat sie es zu meinem Begräbnis {O. zu meiner Einbalsamierung} getan.
13 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wo irgend dieses Evangelium gepredigt werden wird in der ganzen Welt, wird auch von dem geredet werden, was diese getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.
14 Dann ging einer von den Zwölfen, der Judas Iskariot genannt war, zu den Hohenpriestern
15 und sprach: Was wollt ihr mir geben, und ich werde ihn euch überliefern? Sie aber stellten ihm dreißig Silberlinge {O. Silbersekel} fest. {O. wogen ihm... dar}
16 Und von da an suchte er Gelegenheit, auf daß er ihn überliefere.
17 An dem ersten Tage der ungesäuerten Brote aber traten die Jünger zu Jesu und sprachen: Wo willst du, daß wir dir bereiten, das Passah zu essen?
18 Er aber sprach: Gehet in die Stadt zu dem und dem und sprechet zu ihm: Der Lehrer sagt: Meine Zeit ist nahe; bei dir halte ich das Passah mit meinen Jüngern.
19 Und die Jünger taten, wie Jesus ihnen befohlen hatte, und bereiteten das Passah.
20 Als es aber Abend geworden war, legte er sich mit den Zwölfen zu Tische.
21 Und während sie aßen, sprach er: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird mich überliefern.
22 Und sie wurden sehr betrübt und fingen an, ein jeder von ihnen zu ihm zu sagen: Ich bin es doch nicht, Herr?
23 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Der mit mir die Hand in die Schüssel eintaucht, {O. eingetaucht hat} dieser wird mich überliefern
24 Der Sohn des Menschen geht zwar dahin, wie über ihn geschrieben steht; wehe aber jenem Menschen, durch welchen der Sohn des Menschen überliefert wird! Es wäre jenem Menschen gut, wenn er nicht geboren wäre.
25 Judas aber, der ihn überlieferte, antwortete und sprach: Ich bin es doch nicht, Rabbi? Er spricht zu ihm: Du hast es gesagt.
26 Während sie aber aßen, nahm Jesus Brot, segnete, {O. lobpries, dankte} brach und gab es den Jüngern und sprach: Nehmet, esset; dieses ist mein Leib.
27 Und er nahm [den] Kelch und dankte und gab ihnen denselben und sprach: Trinket alle daraus.
28 Denn dieses ist mein Blut, das des [neuen] Bundes, welches für viele vergossen wird zur Vergebung der Sünden.
