1 Se um homem furtar um boi, ou uma ovelha, e o matar ou vender, restituirá cinco bois por um boi, e quatro ovelhas por uma ovelha.2 Se um ladrão for encontrado saqueando e for ferido para que morra, não se derramará sangue por ele.3 Se o sol houver se levantado sobre ele, derramar-se-á sangue por ele, pois ele deve fazer restituição completa. Se ele não possuir nada, será vendido pelo seu furto.4 Se o furto for achado vivo em sua mão, seja boi, jumento ou ovelha, ele restituirá em dobro.5 Se um homem fizer um campo ou uma vinha a ser comida, e colocar nela seu animal, e for alimentar no campo de outro, então do melhor do seu próprio campo e do melhor da sua própria vinha fará restituição.6 Se irromper um fogo, e pegar nos espinhos, de modo que sejam consumidos os feixes de trigo, ou a seara, ou o campo, o que iniciou o fogo certamente fará restituição.7 Se um homem entregar a seu próximo dinheiro ou objetos para guardar, e isso for furtado da casa do homem, se o ladrão for encontrado, que ele pague em dobro.8 Se o ladrão não for encontrado, então o dono da casa será levado aos juízes, para ver se ele colocou a mão nos bens de seu próximo.9 Para todo tipo de transgressão, seja por boi, por jumento, por ovelhas, por vestes ou por qualquer coisa perdida, que outro protestar ser seu, a causa de ambas as partes virá diante dos juízes; e aquele a quem os juízes condenarem, este pagará em dobro ao seu próximo.10 Se um homem entregar ao seu próximo um jumento, ou um boi, ou uma ovelha, ou algum animal para guardar, e este morrer, ou for ferido, ou levado embora, sem que nenhum homem veja,11 então haverá um juramento do SENHOR entre os dois, de que ele não pôs a mão nos bens de seu próximo. E o dono disso o aceitará, e o outro não o restituirá.12 E se lhe for furtado, ele fará restituição ao seu dono.13 Se for dilacerado, então que ele o traga em testemunho, e ele não fará restituição pelo que foi dilacerado.14 E se um homem pedir emprestado alguma coisa de seu próximo, e for ferido, ou morrer, não estando com ele o dono, ele certamente fará restituição.15 Mas se o dono disso estiver com ele, não fará restituição; se foi uma coisa alugada, será pelo seu aluguel.16 E se um homem seduzir uma virgem que não é desposada, e se deitar com ela, ele certamente a dotará e tomará por sua esposa.17 Se o seu pai completamente se recusar a dá-la, ele pagará em dinheiro conforme o dote das virgens.18 Não deixarás viver uma feiticeira.19 Todo aquele que se deitar com um animal certamente será morto.20 Aquele que sacrificar a qualquer deus, e não somente ao SENHOR, este será totalmente destruído.21 Não afligirás um estrangeiro, nem o oprimirás, pois fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito.22 Não afligireis nenhuma viúva, nem o órfão.23 Se os afligirdes de alguma maneira, e eles clamarem a mim, eu certamente ouvirei o seu clamor,24 e a minha ira arderá, e eu vos matarei à espada, e vossas mulheres serão viúvas, e vossos filhos órfãos.25 Se emprestares dinheiro a qualquer de meu povo, que é pobre junto a ti, não serás para ele agiota nem lhe imporás usura.26 Se tomares a veste de teu próximo por penhor, tu lho restituirás antes do pôr do sol,27 porque esta é sua única coberta, é a veste da sua pele, em que ele dormirá? E acontecerá que, quando ele clamar a mim, eu o ouvirei, pois sou benevolente.28 Não injuriarás os juízes, nem maldirás o governante do teu povo.29 Não tardarás a oferecer o primeiro de teus frutos maduros, nem de teus licores; o primogênito de teus filhos me darás.30 Da mesma forma farás com os teus bois, e com as tuas ovelhas; sete dias estarão com sua mãe; no oitavo dia os darás a mim.31 E sereis para mim homens santos; não comereis carne alguma que foi dilacerada por animal no campo; vós a lançareis aos cães.

1 If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and slaughters it or sells it, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.2 If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no blood shed for him.3 If the sun has risen upon him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He shall make compensation to pay; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.4 If the thing stolen is found in his possession alive in his hand, whether it is an ox or donkey or sheep, he shall restore double.5 If a man causes a field or vineyard to be consumed, and lets loose his animal, and it consumes another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field and the best of his own vineyard.6 If fire breaks out and lights upon thorns, so that stacked grain, standing grain, or the field has been consumed, he who kindled the fire shall make compensation to pay.7 If a man delivers to his neighbor money or articles to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall restore double.8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods.9 For any kind of trespass, whether it be an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost item which another says is his, the matter of both of them shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges declare guilty shall restore double to his neighbor.10 If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies, is hurt, or driven away, no one seeing it,11 then an oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, that he has not put his hand into his neighbor’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept it, and he shall not make it good.12 But if, in fact, it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner of it.13 If it is rent and torn to pieces by a beast, then he shall bring it as evidence, and he shall not make good what was torn.14 And if a man borrows anything from his neighbor, and it becomes injured or dies, the owner of it not being with it, he shall make compensation to pay.15 If its owner was with it, he shall not make it good; if it was hired, it came for its hire.16 If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall give a dowry, the purchase price for her to be his wife.17 If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.18 You shall not allow a sorceress to live.19 Whoever lies with an animal shall be executed to death.20 He who sacrifices to any god, except to Jehovah only, he shall be utterly destroyed.21 You shall neither mistreat a sojourner nor oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.22 You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.23 If you afflict them to humiliate them, and they make an outcry to cry out unto Me, I will hear and give heed to their cry;24 and My anger will burn, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.25 If you lend money to My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not lay interest on him.26 If you indeed take your neighbor’s garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him by the going down of the sun.27 For that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What will he sleep in? And it will be that when he cries out to Me, I will give heed, for I am gracious.28 You shall not curse God, nor curse a chief of your people.29 You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give unto Me.30 Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it unto Me.31 And you shall be holy men unto Me: you shall not eat flesh torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.
