1 Este é o livro das gerações de Adão. No dia em que Deus criou o homem, à semelhança de Deus ele o fez;2 macho e fêmea ele os criou; e os abençoou, e chamou seu nome Adão, no dia em que eles foram criados.3 E Adão viveu cento e trinta anos, e gerou um filho à sua própria semelhança, segundo a sua imagem, e chamou seu nome Sete.4 E os dias de Adão, depois de ter gerado Sete foram oitocentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.5 E todos os dias que Adão viveu foram novecentos e trinta anos, e morreu.6 E Sete viveu cento e cinco anos, e gerou Enos.7 E Sete viveu, depois que gerou Enos, oitocentos e sete anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.8 E todos os dias de Sete foram novecentos e doze anos, e morreu.9 E Enos viveu noventa anos e gerou Cainã.10 E Enos viveu, depois que gerou Cainã, oitocentos e quinze anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.11 E todos os dias de Enos foram novecentos e cinco anos, e morreu.12 E Cainã viveu setenta anos, e gerou Maalaleel.13 E Cainã viveu, depois que gerou Maalaleel, oitocentos e quarenta anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.14 E todos os dias de Cainã foram novecentos e dez anos, e morreu.15 E Maalaleel viveu sessenta e cinco anos, e gerou Jerede.16 E Maalaleel viveu, depois que gerou Jerede, oitocentos e trinta anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.17 E todos os dias de Maalaleel foram oitocentos e noventa e cinco anos, e morreu.18 E Jerede viveu cento e sessenta e dois anos, e gerou Enoque.19 E Jerede viveu, depois que gerou Enoque, oitocentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.20 E todos os dias de Jerede foram novecentos e sessenta e dois anos, e morreu.21 E Enoque viveu sessenta e cinco anos, e gerou a Matusalém.22 E Enoque andou com Deus depois que gerou Matusalém, trezentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.23 E todos os dias de Enoque foram trezentos e sessenta e cinco anos.24 E Enoque caminhava com Deus, e ele não estava mais, pois Deus o tomou.25 E Matusalém viveu cento e oitenta e sete anos, e gerou Lameque.26 E Matusalém viveu, depois que gerou Lameque, setecentos e oitenta e dois anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.27 E todos os dias de Matusalém foram novecentos e sessenta e nove anos, e morreu.28 E Lameque viveu cento e oitenta e dois anos, e gerou um filho.29 E ele chamou seu nome Noé, dizendo: Este deve confortar-nos com respeito ao nosso trabalho e ao labor das nossas mãos, por causa da terra que o SENHOR amaldiçoou.30 E Lameque viveu, depois que gerou Noé, quinhentos e noventa e cinco anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.31 E todos os dias de Lameque foram setecentos e setenta e sete anos, e morreu.32 E Noé tinha quinhentos anos de idade; e Noé gerou Sem, Cam e Jafé.

1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.2 He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name Mankind in the day when they were created.3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth.4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel.13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch.19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah.22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God carried him away.25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
