1 Levanta-te, brilhe, porque tua luz é chegada e a glória do SENHOR amanhece sobre ti.2 Porquanto, eis que a escuridão cobrirá a terra, e densa escuridão o povo. O SENHOR, porém, levantar-se-á sobre ti e a glória dele será vista sobre ti.3 E os gentios virão para a tua luz e reis para o brilho de teu levantar.4 Ergue teus olhos em todas as direções ao teu redor e vê. Todos eles reúnem-se. Eles vêm a ti. Teus filhos virão de longe, e tuas filhas serão levadas nos braços ao teu lado.5 Então, tu verás e ficarás radiante, e teu coração temerá e se regozijará, porque a fartura do mar será trazida a ti. As forças dos gentios virão a ti.6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedários de Midiã e Efá, todos eles desde Sabá virão. Eles trarão ouro e incenso, e irão proclamar os louvores do SENHOR.7 Todos os rebanhos de Quedar serão reunidos a ti. Os carneiros de Nebaiote suprir-te-ão. Eles se achegarão com aceitação sobre meu altar, e eu glorificarei a casa da minha glória.8 Quem são estes que voam como uma nuvem, e como as pombas em direção às suas janelas?9 Certamente, as ilhas esperarão por mim, e os navios de Társis primeiramente, para trazer teus filhos de longe, e, com eles, a prata e o ouro deles até o nome do SENHOR teu Deus e para o Santo de Israel, porque ele tem te glorificado.10 E os filhos de estrangeiros irão edificar teus muros, e os reis deles irão suprir-te, porque em minha cólera eu te afligi. Mas em minha boa vontade tenho eu tido misericórdia de ti.11 Portanto, teus portões estarão abertos continuamente. Eles não serão fechados nem de dia nem de noite, para que homens possam trazer-te as forças dos gentios, e que seus reis possam ser conduzidos com eles.12 Porquanto, a nação e reino que não vierem a servir-te perecerão. Sim, aquelas nações serão completamente devastadas.13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti, o abeto, o pinheiro e o cipreste juntamente, para embelezar o lugar do meu santuário; e farei o lugar de meus pés glorioso.14 Os filhos também daqueles que te afligiram virão, inclinando-se a ti. E todos aqueles que te desprezaram curvar-se-ão em direção às plantas dos teus pés e chamar-te-ão: A cidade do SENHOR, A Sião do Santo de Israel.15 Como tu tens sido abandonada e odiada, tanto que nenhum homem transitou por ti, eu te tornarei uma excelência eterna, uma alegria de muitas gerações.16 Tu também mamarás o leite das nações e sorverás do seio de reis. E tu saberás que eu, o SENHOR, sou teu Salvador e teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.17 Em lugar de bronze eu trarei ouro, e no lugar de ferro eu trarei prata, e no lugar de madeira, bronze, e no lugar de pedras, ferro. Eu também farei que teus oficiais sejam pacíficos, e teus exatores, justos.18 Violência não será mais ouvida em tua terra, debilidade nem destruição dentro de teus limites. Tu, porém, denominarás teus muros, Salvação, e teus portões, Louvor.19 O sol não será mais tua luz, de dia, nem por brilho a lua te dará luz; porém o SENHOR será para ti uma luz eterna, e teu Deus, tua glória.20 Teu sol não mais se porá, nem irá tua lua retirar-se, porque o SENHOR será tua luz eterna, e os dias do teu luto estarão terminados.21 Teu povo também será todo justo. Eles herdarão a terra para sempre, o renovo do meu plantio, o trabalho de minhas mãos, para que eu possa ser glorificado.22 Um pequenino tornar-se-á mil, e um pequeno uma forte nação. Eu o SENHOR irei apressar em fazer isto ao seu tempo.

1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you.2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but Jehovah shall arise over you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.3 And the nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning.4 Lift up your eyes all around, and see. All of them gather themselves; they come to you. Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the side.5 Then you shall be in awe and become radiant, and your heart shall tremble and swell for joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come unto you.6 A multitude of camels shall overwhelm you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah. All those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall proclaim the praises of Jehovah.7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you; the rams of Nebajoth shall minister to you. They shall come up on My altar and be acceptable to Me, and I will glorify the house of My glory.8 Who are these who fly like a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your children from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of Jehovah your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.10 And the sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall serve you; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy upon you.11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, to bring to you the wealth of the nations, and that their kings may be led.12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish. Yes, those nations will be wasted unto desolation.13 The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious.14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you; and all those who despised you shall prostrate themselves at the soles of your feet. And they shall call you, The City of Jehovah, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.15 Whereas you were forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through, I will make you a perpetual majesty, a joy of many generations.16 You shall also suck the milk of the nations, and suckle the breast of kings; and you shall know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.17 Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver; and instead of wood I will bring bronze, and instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace, and your overseers righteousness.18 Violence shall no more be heard in your land, neither devastation nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.19 The sun shall no more be your light by day; nor the brightness of the moon give light to you; but Jehovah will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.20 Your sun shall not go down any more, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.21 Your people also shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.
