1 Essas palavras Jesus falou, e levantou seus olhos ao céu, e disse: Pai, é chegada a hora; glorifica a teu Filho, para que também o teu Filho te glorifique;2 assim como lhe deste poder sobre toda carne, para que ele dê vida eterna a tantos quantos lhe tens dado.3 E esta é a vida eterna: Que eles te conheçam, o único Deus verdadeiro, e Jesus Cristo, a quem enviaste.4 Eu glorifiquei-te na terra; eu completei a obra que me deste para fazer.5 E agora, ó Pai, glorifica-me contigo mesmo, com aquela glória que eu tinha contigo antes que o mundo existisse.6 Eu tenho manifestado o teu nome aos homens que do mundo tu me deste. Eles foram teus, e tu deste a mim; e eles guardaram a tua palavra.7 Agora eles sabem que todas as coisas que me tens dado provêm de ti.8 Porque eu lhes dei as palavras que tu me deste, e eles as receberam, e verdadeiramente souberam que eu saí de ti, e eles creram que tu me enviaste.9 Eu oro por eles; eu não oro pelo mundo, mas por aqueles que tu me deste, porque eles são teus.10 E todos os meus são teus, e os teus são meus; e eu sou glorificado neles.11 E agora eu não estou mais no mundo; mas eles estão no mundo, e eu vou para ti. Pai santo, guarda em teu próprio nome aqueles que tu me deste, para que eles sejam um, assim como nós somos.12 Enquanto eu estava com eles no mundo, eu guardava-os em teu nome. Tenho guardado aqueles que tu me deste, e nenhum deles se perdeu, senão o filho da perdição, para que a escritura pudesse se cumprir.13 E agora eu vou para ti, e estas coisas eu falo no mundo, para que eles tenham a minha alegria consumada em si mesmos.14 Eu dei-lhes a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, porque eles não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo.15 Eu não oro para que tu os tires do mundo, mas que tu os guardes do mal.16 Eles não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo.17 Santifica-os pela tua verdade; tua palavra é a verdade.18 Assim como tu me enviaste ao mundo, também eu os enviei ao mundo.19 E por causa deles eu santifico a mim mesmo, para que também eles sejam santificados pela verdade.20 E oro não somente por estes, mas também por aqueles que, pela sua palavra, hão de crer em mim;21 para que todos sejam um, como tu, ó Pai, estás em mim, e eu em ti; que também eles sejam um em nós; para que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste.22 E dei-lhes a glória que tu me deste, para que sejam um, como nós somos um;23 eu neles, e tu em mim, para que eles possam ser perfeitos em unidade; e para que o mundo conheça que tu me enviaste, e que os amaste, assim como me amaste.24 Pai, eu desejo que onde eu estou, estejam comigo também aqueles que me tens dado, para que eles vejam a minha glória, a qual tu me deste; porque tu me amaste antes da fundação do mundo.25 Ó Pai justo, o mundo não te conheceu; mas eu te conheci, e estes conheceram que tu me enviaste.26 E eu lhes tenho declarado o teu nome, e declararei: que o amor com que tu me amastes, possa estar neles, e eu neles.

1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and says: Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent.4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You gave Me to do.5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.6 I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your Word.7 Now they have known that all things, whatever You gave Me, are from You.8 For I have given to them the Words which You have given Me; and they received them, and surely know that I came forth from You; and they believe that You sent Me.9 I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.11 And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.12 While I was with them in the world, I cared for them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have guarded; and not one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.13 But now I am coming to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.14 I have given them Your Word; and the world hates them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil.16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify them in Your Truth. Your Word is Truth.18 As You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world.19 And on their behalf I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified in Truth.20 I do not pray concerning these alone, but also concerning those who will believe into Me through their word;21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made complete in one, and that the world may know that You sent Me, and love them as You love Me.24 Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You gave Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.25 O righteous Father, the world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.26 And I have made known to them Your name, and will make it known, that the love with which You love Me may be in them, and I in them.
