1 Toda mulher sábia edifica a sua casa, mas a tola a derruba com suas mãos.2 Aquele que anda na sua retidão teme ao SENHOR, mas aquele que é perverso em seus caminhos o despreza.3 Na boca do tolo há uma vara para o seu orgulho, mas os lábios dos sábios os preservarão.4 Onde não há bois, o estábulo é limpo, mas pela força do boi há muito crescimento.5 Uma testemunha fiel não mentirá, mas uma falsa testemunha proferirá mentiras.6 O escarnecedor busca sabedoria e não a encontra, mas o conhecimento é fácil para aquele que entende.7 Sai da presença de um homem tolo, quando não achares nele os lábios do conhecimento.8 A sabedoria do prudente é entender o seu caminho, mas a loucura dos tolos é o engano.9 Os tolos zombam do pecado, mas entre os justos há benevolência.10 O coração conhece a sua própria amargura, e um estranho não intervém na sua alegria.11 A casa dos ímpios será derrubada, mas o tabernáculo dos retos florescerá.12 Há um caminho que parece certo ao homem, mas o seu fim são os caminhos da morte.13 Até no riso o coração é desgostoso, e o fim da alegria é tristeza.14 O apóstata de coração se preencherá de seus próprios caminhos, e o bom homem se satisfará de si mesmo.15 O simples acredita em cada palavra, mas o homem prudente olha bem por onde vai.16 O homem sábio teme, e aparta-se do mal, mas o tolo se enfurece, e é confiante.17 Aquele que logo fica irado trata tolamente; e o homem de perversas imaginações é odiado18 Os simples herdam a loucura, mas os prudentes são coroados com o conhecimento.19 Os maus se curvam diante dos bons, e os perversos aos portões dos justos.20 O pobre é odiado até pelo seu próprio vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos.21 Aquele que despreza o seu vizinho peca, mas aquele que tem misericórdia do pobre, feliz ele é.22 Não erram os que maquinam o mal? Mas a misericórdia e a verdade serão para aqueles que maquinam o bem.23 Em todo trabalho há lucro, mas o falar dos lábios tende somente à pobreza.24 A coroa dos sábios é a sua riqueza, mas a tolice dos tolos é loucura.25 Uma testemunha verdadeira livra almas, mas uma testemunha enganosa fala mentiras.26 No temor do SENHOR há forte confiança, e seus filhos terão um lugar de refúgio.27 O temor do SENHOR é fonte de vida, para desviar dos laços da morte.28 Na multidão do povo está a honra do rei, mas na falta de povo está a destruição do príncipe.29 Aquele que é tardio em irar-se é grande em entendimento, mas aquele que é de espírito impaciente, exalta a loucura.30 O coração sadio é a vida da carne, mas a inveja é a podridão dos ossos.31 Aquele que oprime o pobre afronta o seu Criador, mas aquele que o honra tem misericórdia dos pobres.32 Os perversos são desviados em sua maldade, mas o justo tem esperança em sua morte.33 A sabedoria repousa no coração daquele que tem entendimento, mas aquele que está no meio dos tolos se faz conhecido.34 A justiça exalta uma nação; mas o pecado é um opróbrio para qualquer povo.35 O favor do rei é direcionado ao servo sábio, mas sua ira é contra aquele que causa vergonha.
1 A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish tears it down with her hands.2 He who walks in his uprightness fears Jehovah, but he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.3 In the mouth of the fool is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise shall keep them.4 Where no oxen are, the stall is clean, but much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.5 A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness speaks lies.6 A scorner seeks wisdom, and does not find it; but knowledge is easy to him who understands.7 Go from the presence of a foolish man when you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge.8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.9 Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is favor.10 The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share in its joy.11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown, but the tent of the upright shall flourish.12 There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.13 Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of that mirth is heaviness.14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, but a good man from himself.15 The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps.16 A wise one fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is confident.17 One who is short-tempered acts foolishly, and a man of wicked devices is hated.18 The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.19 The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.20 The poor is hated even by his own neighbor, but the rich has many friends.21 He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he.22 Do not those who devise evil wander? But mercy and truth shall be to those who devise good.23 In all labor there is profit, but the talk of the lips tends only to poverty.24 The crown of the wise is their wealth; the foolishness of fools is folly.25 A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies.26 In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and His children shall have a place of refuge.27 The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to avoid the snares of death.28 In the multitude of people is the kings honor, but in the lack of people is the ruin of the prince.29 He who is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he who is impatient exalts folly.30 A sound heart is life to the flesh, but envy is rottenness to the bones.31 He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy upon the needy.32 The wicked is cast down in his wickedness, but the righteous has refuge in his death.33 Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, but that which is within fools is made known.34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.35 The kings favor is toward a wise servant, but his wrath is against him who causes shame.
