1 Portanto, sendo justificados pela fé, temos paz com Deus, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo;2 pelo qual também temos acesso pela fé a esta graça, na qual estamos firmes, e nos regozijamos na esperança da glória de Deus.3 E não somente isto, mas também nos gloriamos nas tribulações; sabendo que a tribulação produz a paciência,4 e a paciência a experiência, e a experiência a esperança;5 e a esperança não nos envergonha, porque o amor de Deus está derramado em nossos corações pelo Espírito Santo que é dado a nós.6 Porque estando nós ainda sem força, Cristo, a seu tempo, morreu pelos ímpios.7 Pois dificilmente alguém morrerá por um homem justo; talvez alguém ouse morrer pelo homem bom.8 Mas Deus demonstra o seu amor para conosco, em que sendo nós ainda pecadores, Cristo morreu por nós.9 Portanto, muito mais agora, tendo sido justificados pelo seu sangue, nós seremos salvos da ira por ele.10 Porque se nós, sendo inimigos, fomos reconciliados com Deus pela morte de seu Filho, muito mais, tendo sido reconciliados, seremos salvos pela sua vida.11 E não somente isto, mas também nos regozijamos em Deus por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, pelo qual agora recebemos a reconciliação.12 Portanto, como por um homem o pecado entrou no mundo, e pelo pecado a morte, assim também a morte passou a todos os homens, porque todos pecaram;13 (porque até a lei, o pecado estava no mundo; mas o pecado não é imputado quando não há lei.14 No entanto, a morte reinou desde Adão até Moisés, até mesmo sobre aqueles que não tinham pecado à semelhança da transgressão de Adão, o qual é a figura daquele que havia de vir.15 Mas o dom gratuito não é também como a transgressão. Porque, se pela transgressão de um muitos morreram, muito mais a graça de Deus, e o dom pela graça, que é por um homem, Jesus Cristo, abundou para muitos.16 E não foi assim o dom como transgressão, por um só que pecou. Porque o juízo veio por uma transgressão, para condenação, mas o dom gratuito veio de muitas transgressões para justificação.17 Porque, se pela transgressão de um homem, a morte reinou por meio de um, muito mais os que recebem a abundância da graça, e do dom da justiça, reinarão em vida por meio de um, Jesus Cristo).18 Portanto, assim como pela transgressão de um veio o juízo sobre todos os homens para condenação, assim também pela justiça de um veio o dom gratuito sobre todos os homens para justificação de vida.19 Porque, assim como pela desobediência de um só homem, muitos foram feitos pecadores, assim pela obediência de um muitos serão feitos justos.20 Além disso, veio a lei, para que a transgressão abundasse; mas onde o pecado abundou, superabundou a graça;21 para que, assim como o pecado reinou na morte, também a graça reinasse pela justiça para a vida eterna, por Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor.

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice on the hope of the glory of God.3 And not only that, but we also exult in afflictions, knowing that affliction produces perseverance;4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.5 And hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some would even be bold enough to die.8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to every person, because everyone sinned.13 For until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not accounted when there is no law.14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.16 And the gift is not like it was through the one who sinned. For the judgment from one offense was unto condemnation, but the free gift from many offenses is unto justification.17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who are receiving abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment was to every person unto condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift is to every person unto justification of life.19 For as through one man’s disobedience many were declared sinners, so also through one Man’s obedience many will be declared righteous.20 Moreover the Law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
