1 Abençoado é o homem que não anda no conselho do ímpio, nem fica no caminho dos pecadores, nem assenta na cadeira dos escarnecedores.2 Mas o seu prazer está na lei do SENHOR, e na sua lei medita de dia e de noite.3 E ele será como uma árvore plantada junto aos rios de água, que produz seu fruto em sua estação; sua folha também não murchará; e tudo aquilo que ele faça, prosperará.4 Os ímpios não são assim; mas são como a palha que o vento lança para longe.5 Portanto, os ímpios não ficarão de pé no juízo, nem pecadores na congregação dos justos.6 Porque o SENHOR conhece o caminho dos justos, mas o caminho dos ímpios perecerá.

1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor has stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of the scornful.2 But his delight is in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night.3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not wither, and all that he does shall prosper.4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.6 For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
