1 Ao Músico-chefe, Salmo de Davi. Ó SENHOR, por quanto tempo me esquecerás? Para sempre? Por quanto tempo esconderás tua face de mim?2 Por quanto tempo devo tomar conselho de minha alma, tendo tristeza no meu coração diariamente? Por quanto tempo será exaltado o meu inimigo sobre mim?3 Considera e ouve-me, ó SENHOR meu Deus; ilumina os meus olhos para que eu não durma o sono da morte;4 Para que o meu inimigo não diga: Eu prevaleci contra ele; e não se regozijem aqueles que me perturbam, quando eu vacilar.5 Mas eu confiei na tua misericórdia; meu coração se regozijará na tua salvação.6 Eu cantarei ao SENHOR porque ele me tratou generosamente.

1 How long will You forget me, O Jehovah? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my inner being daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?3 Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;4 lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, and those who oppress me rejoice when I am shaken.5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.6 I will sing to Jehovah, because He has dealt bountifully with me.
