1 Oração de Davi. Ouve o justo, ó SENHOR, atende ao meu clamor, dá ouvidos à minha oração, que não sai de lábios fingidos.2 Que a minha sentença saia da tua presença; que os teus olhos contemplem as coisas que são iguais.3 Provaste o meu coração; visitaste-me à noite; examinaste-me, e não encontraste nada; estou no propósito de que a minha boca não transgredirá.4 Quanto às obras dos homens, pela palavra dos teus lábios me guardei das veredas do destruidor.5 Sustenta as minhas idas em tuas veredas, para que as minhas pegadas não escorreguem.6 Eu te invoquei porque tu queres me ouvir, ó Deus; inclina teu ouvido para mim e ouve o meu discurso.7 Mostra a tua maravilhosa benignidade, ó tu que salvas pela tua mão direita aqueles que põem sua confiança em ti, daqueles que se levantam contra eles.8 Guarda-me como a menina dos olhos; esconde-me debaixo da sombra das tuas asas,9 Dos perversos que me oprimem, dos meus inimigos mortais que me cercam.10 Se encerram em sua própria gordura, com sua boca falam orgulhosamente.11 Eles agora nos cercaram em nossos passos; eles baixaram os seus olhos se curvando para a terra;12 Tal como um leão que é ávido por sua presa, como se fossem um leãozinho espreitando em lugares secretos.13 Levanta-te, ó SENHOR, desaponta-o, humilha-o; livra a minha alma do perverso, com a tua espada;14 Dos homens, com a tua mão, ó SENHOR, dos homens do mundo, que têm sua porção nesta vida, e cujo ventre tu encheste com teu tesouro escondido; eles estão cheios de filhos, e deixam o resto de seus bens para os seus bebês.15 Quanto a mim, contemplarei a tua face na justiça; estarei satisfeito quando acordar com a tua semelhança.

1 Hear a just cause, O Jehovah; give attention to my cry, listen to my prayer; for it is not from deceitful lips.2 Let my sentence come forth from Your presence; let Your eyes behold with equity.3 You have examined my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.4 Concerning the works of men, by the Words of Your lips, I have kept from the paths of the destroyer.5 My steps have been upheld in Your paths, so that my footsteps have not slipped.6 I have called upon You, for You hear me, O Mighty God; extend Your ear to me, and hear my speech.7 Set apart Your wonderful lovingkindness, O You who by Your right hand saves those who trust in You, from those who rise up against me.8 Keep me as the pupil of the eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings,9 from the face of the wicked who have devastated me; from the enemies of my soul who surround me.10 They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouths they speak proudly.11 They have encompassed us in our steps, they keep watch with their eyes, lying down on the ground,12 like a lion that longs to tear, and like a young lion lurking in secret places.13 Arise, O Jehovah, forestall him; bow him down; deliver my soul from the wicked with Your sword,14 from men by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, and leave an abundance to their infants.15 As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with the image of You.
