1 Ao Músico-chefe, Salmo de Davi. Os céus declaram a glória de Deus; e o firmamento mostra o trabalho das suas mãos.2 Dia a dia profere discurso, e noite a noite mostra conhecimento.3 Não há discurso nem linguagem onde sua voz não seja ouvida.4 Sua linha vai por toda a terra, e as suas palavras ao fim do mundo. Neles ele pôs um tabernáculo para o sol,5 Que é como um noivo vindo de sua câmara, e regozija como um homem forte para correr uma corrida.6 Sua saída é desde o fim do céu, e seu circuito até os fins dele; e não há nada escondido de seu calor.7 A lei do SENHOR é perfeita, convertendo a alma; o testemunho do SENHOR é certo, tornando sábio os simples.8 Os estatutos do SENHOR são retos, alegram o coração; o mandamento do SENHOR é puro, ilumina os olhos.9 O temor do SENHOR é limpo, durará para sempre; os julgamentos do SENHOR são verdadeiros e justos juntamente.10 Mais desejados são eles do que o ouro, sim, do que muito ouro fino; e também mais doces do que o mel e o favo.11 Além disso, por eles é o teu servo advertido; e em guardá-los há grande recompensa.12 Quem pode entender seus erros? Purifica-me tu das falhas secretas.13 Guarda teu servo também dos pecados presunçosos; que eles não tenham domínio sobre mim. Então serei reto, e serei inocente de grande transgressão.14 Que as palavras da minha boca e a meditação do meu coração sejam aceitáveis à tua vista, ó SENHOR, minha força e meu redentor.

1 The heavens declare the glory of the Mighty God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.2 Day unto day pours forth speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.3 There is no speech nor words where their voice is not heard.4 Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the ends of the world. In them He has set a tent for the sun,5 which comes forth like a bridegroom out from his chamber; he exults as a strong man to run a race,6 going forth from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it. And there is nothing hidden from its heat.7 The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the Testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.8 The Statutes of Jehovah are upright, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, illuminating the eyes.9 The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and altogether just,10 more to be desired than gold, even than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.11 And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.12 Who can understand his errors? Acquit me of that which is hidden;13 restrain Your servant from arrogance; do not let them rule over me. Then I shall be perfect, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.
