1 Salmo de Davi, Masquil. Abençoado é aquele cuja transgressão é perdoada, cujo pecado é coberto.2 Abençoado é o homem a quem o SENHOR não imputa a iniquidade, e em cujo espírito não há malícia.3 Quando eu mantive o silêncio, meus ossos envelheceram por meio do meu bramido por todo o dia.4 Pois dia e noite tua mão foi pesada sobre mim; meu orvalho é transformado em seca de verão. Selá.5 Eu reconheço o meu pecado diante de ti, e a minha iniquidade eu não escondi. Eu disse: Confessarei ao SENHOR as minhas transgressões; e tu perdoaste a iniquidade do meu pecado. Selá.6 Pois todo aquele que é piedoso orará a ti no tempo em que fores encontrado; certamente nas inundações de grandes águas não chegarão a ele.7 Tu és o meu esconderijo; tu me preservarás da dificuldade; tu me cercarás com canções de libertação. Selá.8 Eu te instruirei e te ensinarei no caminho em que irás; eu te guiarei com o meu olho.9 Não sejais como o cavalo, ou como a mula, que não têm entendimento; cuja boca precisa ser contida com freio e rédea para que não cheguem perto de ti.10 Haverá muita tristeza para o perverso, mas aquele que confia no SENHOR, a misericórdia o cercará.11 Estai alegres no SENHOR, e regozijai, vós justos; e gritai de alegria, todos vós que sois retos de coração.

1 Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.2 Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.3 When I kept silent, my bones wore out through my roaring all day long.4 For by day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my sap was turned into the drought of summer. Selah.5 I declared my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to Jehovah, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.6 For this let everyone who is godly pray unto You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him.7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from distress; You shall enclose me with shouts of deliverance. Selah.8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye.9 Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, so that they do not come near you.10 The wicked has many sorrows, but mercy envelops him who trusts in Jehovah.11 Be glad in Jehovah and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
