1 Salmo de Davi, quando ele estava no deserto de Judá. Ó Deus, tu és o meu Deus; cedo te buscarei. Minha alma tem sede de ti, minha carne anseia por ti em uma terra seca e sedenta, onde não há água;2 Para ver o teu poder e a tua glória, assim como te vi no santuário.3 Porque a tua benignidade é melhor do que a vida, os meus lábios te louvarão.4 Assim eu te bendirei enquanto eu viver. Levantarei as minhas mãos em teu nome.5 Minha alma ficará satisfeita com tutano e gordura; e a minha boca te louvará com lábios alegres.6 Quando eu me lembrar de ti sobre a minha cama, e meditar sobre ti nas vigílias da noite.7 Porque tu tens sido meu socorro, portanto, na sombra das tuas asas eu me regozijarei.8 Minha alma te segue de perto; tua mão direita me sustém.9 Mas aqueles que buscam a minha alma, para destruí-la, irão para as partes mais baixas da terra.10 Eles cairão pela espada; eles serão uma porção para as raposas.11 Mas o rei se regozijará em Deus; todo aquele que jura por ele se gloriará; mas a boca daqueles que falam mentiras será parada.

1 O God, You are my Mighty God. I will seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, as in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.2 I have seen You in the sanctuary, to look upon Your power and Your glory.3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.4 So I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,6 when I remember You upon my bed and meditate on You in the night watches.7 Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice.8 My soul has clung to You; Your right hand upholds me.9 But those who seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.10 They shall fall by the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.11 But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone who swears by Him shall glory; but the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.
