1 Ó SENHOR Deus, a quem a vingança pertence; ó Deus, a quem a vingança pertence; mostra-te.2 Eleva-te; tu juiz da terra; retribui uma recompensa ao orgulhoso.3 SENHOR, por quanto tempo irão os perversos, por quanto tempo irão os perversos triunfar?4 Por quanto tempo irão eles proferir e falar coisas duras? E todos os trabalhadores da iniquidade se gabar?5 Eles quebram em pedaços o teu povo, ó SENHOR, e afligem a tua herança.6 Eles matam a viúva e o estrangeiro, e assassinam o órfão.7 Ainda assim dizem: O SENHOR não verá, nem o Deus de Jacó considerará isso.8 Entendei, vós brutais entre o povo, e vós tolos, quando sereis sábios?9 Aquele que plantou o ouvido não ouvirá? Aquele que formou o olho não verá?10 Aquele que castiga os pagãos, não corrigirá? Aquele que ensina ao homem o conhecimento, não saberá?11 O SENHOR conhece os pensamentos do homem, que eles são vaidade.12 Abençoado é o homem a quem tu castigas, ó SENHOR, e o ensinas da tua lei.13 Para que tu possas dar-lhe descanso dos dias da adversidade, até a cova ser cavada para os perversos.14 Pois o SENHOR não rejeitará o seu povo, nem abandonará a sua herança.15 Mas o juízo retornará à justiça; e todos os retos de coração o seguirão.16 Quem se levantará por mim contra os malfeitores? Ou quem se levantará por mim contra os trabalhadores da iniquidade?17 Se o SENHOR não tivesse sido o meu socorro, minha alma quase teria habitado no silêncio.18 Quando eu disse: Meu pé escorrega; tua misericórdia, ó SENHOR, me ajudou.19 Na multidão dos meus pensamentos dentro de mim, teus consolos deleitam a minha alma.20 Terá o trono da iniquidade comunhão contigo, o qual forja maldade por meio de uma lei?21 Eles se reúnem contra a alma do justo, e condenam o sangue inocente.22 Mas o SENHOR é a minha defesa; e o meu Deus é a rocha do meu refúgio.23 E ele trará sobre eles a sua própria iniquidade, e os cortará fora em sua própria perversidade; sim, o SENHOR nosso Deus os cortará fora.

1 O Jehovah, Mighty God, to whom vengeance belongs; O Mighty God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!2 Be exalted, O Judge of the earth; restore recompense to the proud.3 Jehovah, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?4 They belch forth, and speak arrogant things; all the workers of iniquity boast in themselves.5 They crush Your people, O Jehovah, and afflict Your heritage.6 They slay the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless.7 Yet they say, YAH does not see, nor does the God of Jacob perceive it.8 Understand, you stupid ones among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?9 He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?10 He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?11 Jehovah knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.12 Blessed is the man whom You correct, O YAH, and teach out of Your Law,13 that You may give him rest from the evil days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.14 For Jehovah will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.15 But justice shall return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?17 Unless Jehovah had been my help, my soul would shortly have dwelt in silence.18 If I had said, My foot slips, Your mercy, O Jehovah, holds me up.19 In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.20 Shall the throne of iniquity, which fashions trouble by decree, have fellowship with You?21 They gather together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.22 But Jehovah has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge.23 He brings upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil; Jehovah our God shall cut them off.
