1 Quando me virei, levantei os meus olhos, e olhei, e eis que saíam quatro carruagens de entre dois montes; e os montes eram montes de bronze.2 Na primeira carruagem havia cavalos vermelhos, e na segunda carruagem, cavalos pretos;3 e na terceira carruagem, cavalos brancos; e na quarta carruagem, cavalos malhados e baios.4 Então eu respondi e disse ao anjo que falava comigo: O que é isto, meu senhor?5 E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Estes são os quatro espíritos dos céus, que saem de onde estavam perante o Senhor de toda a terra.6 Os cavalos pretos que estão lá saem para a terra do norte; e os brancos saem atrás deles, e os malhados saem para a terra do sul.7 E os baios saíram adiante, e procuraram ir de modo a percorrer a terra de um canto a outro. E ele disse: Ide pois, percorrei a terra de um canto a outro. Então eles percorreram a terra de um canto a outro.8 Então ele me chamou, e falou-me, dizendo: Eis que esses que vão para a terra do norte fizeram repousar o meu Espírito na terra do norte.9 E a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:10 Toma daqueles do cativeiro, até de Heldai, de Tobias e de Jedaías, que vieram de Babilônia, e vem tu no mesmo dia, e entra na casa de Josias, filho de Sofonias;11 então toma prata e ouro, e faze coroas, e coloca-as sobre a cabeça de Josué, filho de Jozadaque, e sumo sacerdote;12 e fala-lhe, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eis aqui o homem cujo nome é O Renovo: Ele crescerá do seu lugar, e edificará o templo do SENHOR.13 Ele mesmo edificará o templo do SENHOR, e levará a glória; ele se assentará e governará sobre o seu trono; ele será sacerdote sobre o seu trono, e haverá conselho de paz entre os dois.14 E as coroas serão para Helém, e para Tobias, e para Jedaías, e para Hem, filho de Sofonias, como um memorial no templo do SENHOR.15 E aqueles que estão longe virão, e edificarão no templo do SENHOR, e vós sabereis que o SENHOR dos Exércitos me enviou a vós. E isto só acontecerá, se diligentemente obedecerdes a voz do SENHOR vosso Deus.

1 And again I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.2 With the first chariot were red horses, and with the second chariot black horses,3 and with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth dappled and strong horses.4 And I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?5 And the angel answered and said to me, These are the four spirits of Heaven who go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.6 The black horses in it go into the land of the north, and the white go after them; and the dappled ones go toward the land of the south.7 And the strong ones went forth and sought to go, to walk to and fro through the earth. And He said, Go. Walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.8 And He cried out to me, and spoke to me, saying, Behold, these who go toward the land of the north have given My Spirit rest in the land of the north.9 And the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,10 Take from Heldai, from Tobijah, and from Jedaiah, the exiles who have come from Babylon; and in the same day go and enter into the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.11 And take silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.12 And speak to him, saying, Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Behold, the Man whose name is THE BRANCH. And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.13 Even He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between the two of them.14 And the crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah, to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen, the son of Zephaniah.15 And those from afar shall come and build in the temple of Jehovah. And you shall know that Jehovah of Hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass if you will give heed and obey the voice of Jehovah your God.
