36 At the time for offering the evening sacrifice,  * 18:36 1Kg 18:29 the prophet Elijah approached the altar and said, "Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel,  * 18:36 Ex 3:6; 4:5 today let it be known  * 18:36 Nm 16:28 that you are God in Israel and I am your servant, and that at your word I have done all these things. 37 Answer me, Lord! Answer me so that this people will know that you, the Lord, are God  * 18:37 Jos 4:24; Jn 11:42 and that you have turned their hearts back."
