44 "In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, 2:44 Ps 145:13; Ezk 37:25; Dn 4:3; 6:26; 7:14; Lk 1:33 and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms 2:44 Ps 2:9; Mt 21:44 and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever.
