12 While he was in one of the towns, a man was there who had leprosy  * 5:12 Gk lepros; a term for various skin diseases, also in v. 13; see Lv 13–14 all over him.  * 5:12–14 Mt 8:2–4; Mk 1:40–44 He saw Jesus, fell facedown, and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean."

13 Reaching out his hand, Jesus touched him,  * 5:13 Mt 8:15; 9:29; 17:7; 20:34; Lk 18:15; 22:51 saying, "I am willing; be made clean," and immediately the leprosy left him.
