10 於 是 大 衛 不 肯 將 耶 和 華 的 約 櫃 運 進 大 衛 的 城 、 卻 運 到 迦 特 人 、 俄 別 以 東 的 家 中 。

11 耶 和 華 的 約 櫃 在 迦 特 人 俄 別 以 東 家 中 三 個 月 ． 耶 和 華 賜 福 給 俄 別 以 東 和 他 的 全 家 。

12 有 人 告 訴 大 衛 王 說 、 耶 和 華 因 為 約 櫃 、 賜 福 給 俄 別 以 東 的 家 、 和 一 切 屬 他 的 ． 大 衛 就 去 、 歡 歡 喜 喜 的 將 神 的 約 櫃 、 從 俄 別 以 東 家 中 抬 到 大 衛 的 城 裡 。

10 So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house. 11 Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house. 12 King David was told, "Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark."

So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.
