1 Judge me, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; deliver me from the deceitful and unrighteous man. 2 For thou art the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of my strength: why hast thou cast me off? why go I about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 3 Send out thy light and thy truth: they shall lead me, they shall bring me to thy holy mount, and unto thy habitations. 4 Then will I go unto the altar of God*GodHebrew: Elohim unto the ·God*GodHebrew: El of the gladness of my joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim my God*GodHebrew: Elohim5 Why art thou cast down, my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God*GodHebrew: Elohim for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God*GodHebrew: Elohim.

1 Schaffe mir Recht, o Gott, und führe meinen Rechtsstreit wider eine *Eig. von einer, d. h. indem du mich von ihr befreist lieblose Nation! *Eig. eine Nation ohne Güte Von dem Manne des Trugs und des Unrechts errette mich! 2 Denn du bist der Gott meiner Stärke. *Eig. Feste, Schutzwehr Warum hast du mich verworfen? Warum gehe ich trauernd einher wegen der Bedrückung des Feindes? 3 Sende dein Licht und deine Wahrheit; sie sollen mich leiten, mich bringen zu deinem heiligen Berge und zu deinen Wohnungen. 4 So werde ich kommen zum Altar Gottes, zu dem Gott, *El der meine Jubelfreude ist, und werde dich preisen mit der Laute, Gott, mein Gott! 5 Was beugst du dich nieder, meine Seele, und was bist du unruhig in mir? Harre auf Gott! Denn ich werde ihn noch preisen, der das Heil *W. die Rettungen meines Angesichts und mein Gott ist.
