1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his bondmen, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house in which there was not one dead.

1 Jahwe sagte zu Mose und Aaron, als sie noch in Ägypten waren:

30 Der Pharao und alle seine Hofbeamten fuhren aus dem Schlaf, ganz Ägypten schreckte in dieser Nacht hoch. Überall im Land hörte man Wehgeschrei, denn es gab kein Haus, in dem nicht ein Toter war.
