24 Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man sowing good seed in his field;

25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel amongst the wheat, and went away.

26 But when the blade shot up and produced fruit, then appeared the darnel also.

27 And the bondmen of the householder came up and said to him, Sir, hast thou not sown good seed in thy field? whence then has it darnel?

28 And he said to them, A man {that is} an enemy has done this. And the bondmen said to him, Wilt thou then that we should go and gather it {up}?

29 But he said, No; lest {in} gathering the darnel ye should root up the wheat with it.

30 Suffer both to grow together unto the harvest, and in time of the harvest I will say to the harvestmen, Gather first the darnel, and bind it into bundles to burn it; but the wheat bring together into my granary.

24 Jesus erzählte noch ein anderes Gleichnis: "Mit dem Reich, das der Himmel regiert, verhält es sich wie mit einem Mann, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.

25 Eines Nachts, als alles schlief, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut zwischen den Weizen und machte sich davon.

26 Als die Saat aufging und Ähren ansetzte, kam auch das Unkraut zum Vorschein.

27 Da kamen die Sklaven des Mannes herbei und fragten: 'Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher kommt dann das Unkraut?'

28 'Das hat einer getan, der mir schaden will', erwiderte er. Die Sklaven fragten: 'Sollen wir hingehen und das Unkraut ausreißen?'

29 'Nein', entgegnete er, 'ihr würdet mit dem Unkraut auch den Weizen ausreißen.

30 Lasst beides wachsen bis zur Ernte. Wenn es dann so weit ist, werde ich den Erntearbeitern sagen: Reißt zuerst das Unkraut aus und bindet es zum Verbrennen in Bündel. Und dann bringt den Weizen in meine Scheune.'"
