36 Then, having dismissed the crowds, he went into the house; and his disciples came to him, saying, Expound to us the parable of the darnel of the field.

37 But he answering said, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man,

38 and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the darnel are the sons of the evil {one};

39 and the enemy who has sowed it is the devil; and the harvest is {the} completion of {the} age, and the harvestmen are angels.

40 As then the darnel is gathered and is burned in the fire, thus it shall be in the completion of the age.

41 The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all offences, and those that practise lawlessness;

42 and they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

43 Then the righteous shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear.

36 Dann schickte Jesus die Leute weg und ging ins Haus. Dort wandten sich die Jünger an ihn: "Erkläre uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker!", baten sie.

37 Jesus antwortete: "Der Mann, der den guten Samen aussät, ist der Menschensohn.

38 Der Acker ist die Welt. Der gute Same sind die Menschen, die zur Herrschaft Gottes gehören. Das Unkraut sind die Menschen, die dem Bösen gehören.

39 Der Feind, der das Unkraut gesät hat, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte ist das Ende der Welt, und die Erntearbeiter sind die Engel.

40 So wie das Unkraut ausgerissen und verbrannt wird, so wird es auch am Ende der Welt sein:

41 Der Menschensohn wird seine Engel ausschicken, und sie werden aus seinem Reich alle entfernen, die ein gesetzloses Leben geführt und andere zur Sünde verleitet haben,

42 und werden sie in den glühenden Ofen werfen. Dann wird das große Weinen und Zähneknirschen anfangen.

43 Und dann werden die Gerechten im Reich ihres Vaters leuchten wie die Sonne. Wer Ohren hat, der höre zu!
