1 Hallelujah! Sing unto Jehovah a new song; {sing} his praise in the congregation of the godly.2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.3 Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing psalms unto him with the tambour and harp.4 For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people; he beautifieth the meek with salvation.5 Let the godly exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.6 Let the high praises of *God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand:7 To execute vengeance against the nations, {and} punishment among the peoples;8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;9 To execute upon them the judgment written. Singt Jahwe ein neues Lied, / sein Lob in der Gemeinschaft seiner Getreuen.2 Es freue sich Israel an seinem Schöpfer, / über ihren König sollen die Kinder der Zionsstadt jubeln.3 Seinen Namen sollen sie loben beim Reigentanz, / ihm aufspielen mit Handpauke und Zither.4 Denn Jahwe hat Gefallen an seinem Volk, / er schmückt die Gebeugten mit Heil.5 Seine Treuen sollen sich in Herrlichkeit freuen, / in Jubel ausbrechen auf ihren Lagern!6 Lob Gottes sei in ihrer Kehle / und ein zweischneidiges Schwert in ihrer Hand;7 um Vergeltung an den Völkern zu vollziehen, / Gottes Gerichte an den Nationen;8 um ihre Könige mit Ketten zu binden, / ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln,9 um an ihnen zu vollziehen geschriebenes Recht! / Das ist eine Ehre für seine Getreuen!
