13 Said but to him the messenger: Not fear, Zacharias; because has been heard the prayer of thee, and the wife of thee Elisabeth shall bear a son to thee; and thou shalt call the name of him John.

14 And he shall be a joy to thee and exultation, and many at the birth of him shall be glad.

13 »Have no fear Zechariah,« said the angel, »for God has heard your prayer. Your wife Elisabeth will have a son and his name will be John.

14 »You will be filled with joy, and many will be happy at his birth.
