3 So wie ich dich bat, als ich nach Macedonien reiste, in Ephesus zu bleiben, auf daß du etlichen gebötest, nicht andere Lehren zu lehren,

4 noch mit Fabeln und endlosen Geschlechtsregistern sich abzugeben, die mehr Streitfragen hervorbringen, als die Verwaltung Gottes fördern, die im Glauben ist…

3 As I entreated thee to remain in Ephesus, departing for Macedonia, that thou mayest charge some not other to teach,

4 nor to hold to fables and genealogies endless, which disputes occasion rather than an administration of God that by faith;
