19 Und die Männer der Stadt sprachen zu Elisa: Siehe doch, die Lage der Stadt ist gut, wie mein Herr sieht, aber das Wasser ist schlecht, und das Land ist unfruchtbar. Eig. bringt Fehlgeburten

20 Da sprach er: Holet mir eine neue Schale, und tut Salz darein! Und sie holten sie ihm.

21 Und er ging hinaus zu der Quelle des Wassers, und warf das Salz hinein und sprach: So spricht Jahwe: Ich habe dieses Wasser gesund gemacht; es wird weder Tod noch Unfruchtbarkeit mehr daraus entstehen.

22 Und das Wasser wurde gesund bis auf diesen Tag, nach dem Worte, das Elisa geredet hatte.

19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, we pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is bad, and the land miscarrieth. 20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. 21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying. 22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spake.
