3 Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Es sei denn, daß jemand von neuem O. von oben her geboren werde, so kann er das Reich Gottes nicht sehen. 4 Nikodemus spricht zu ihm: Wie kann ein Mensch geboren werden, wenn er alt ist? kann er etwa zum zweiten Male in den Leib seiner Mutter eingehen und geboren werden? 5 Jesus antwortete: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Es sei denn, daß jemand aus Wasser und Geist geboren werde, so kann er nicht in das Reich Gottes eingehen.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus says to him, How can a man be born being old? can he enter a second time into the womb of his mother and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
