9 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Trefflich hebet ihr das Gebot Gottes auf, auf daß ihr eure Überlieferung haltet. 10 Denn Moses hat gesagt: "Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter!" 2. Mose 20,12 und: "Wer Vater oder Mutter flucht, O. schmäht, übel redet von soll des Todes sterben." 2. Mose 21,1711 Ihr aber saget: Wenn ein Mensch zu dem Vater oder zu der Mutter spricht: Korban (das ist Gabe) d. h. Opfergabe, Gabe für Gott sei das, was irgend dir von mir zunutze kommen könnte; - 12 und ihr lasset ihn so nichts mehr für seinen Vater oder seine Mutter tun, 13 indem ihr das Wort Gottes ungültig machet durch eure Überlieferung, die ihr überliefert habt; und vieles dergleichen Ähnliche tut ihr.
9 And he said to them, Well do ye set aside the commandment of God, that ye may observe what is delivered by yourselves to keep. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, he who speaks ill of father or mother, let him surely die. 11 But ye say, If a man say to his father or his mother, It is corban (that is, gift), whatsoever thou mightest have profit from me by... 12 And ye no longer suffer him to do anything for his father or his mother; 13 making void the word of God by your traditional teaching which ye have delivered; and many such like things ye do.
