14 Und die Weiber sprachen zu Noomi: Gepriesen sei Jehova, der es dir heute nicht hat fehlen lassen an einem Löser bezieht sich auf den Sohn Ruths! Und sein Name werde gerühmt in Israel! 15 Und er wird dir ein Erquicker der Seele sein und ein Versorger deines Alters! Denn deine Schwiegertochter, die dich liebt, hat ihn geboren, sie, die dir besser ist als sieben Söhne. 16 Und Noomi nahm das Kind und legte es auf ihren Schoß und wurde seine Wärterin. 17 Und die Nachbarinnen gaben ihm einen Namen, indem sie sprachen: Ein Sohn ist der Noomi geboren! und sie gaben ihm den Namen Obed. Diener Er ist der Vater Isais, des Vaters Davids.
14 And the women said to Naomi, Blessed be Jehovah who hath not left thee this day without one that has the right of redemption, and may his name be famous in Israel! 15 And he shall be to thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age; for thy daughter-in-law who loves thee, who is better to thee than seven sons, has borne him. 16 And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse to it. 17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi. And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
