1 *Von David. Ein Psalm.Jehova sprach *Eig. Spruch Jahs zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde lege zum Schemel deiner Füße! 2 Den Stab deiner Macht wird Jehova aus Zion senden; *O. weithin strecken herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde! 3 Dein Volk wird voller Willigkeit sein am Tage deiner Macht; *O. deines Heerzuges in heiliger Pracht, aus dem Schoße der Morgenröte wird dir der Tau deiner Jugend *d. h. deiner jungen Manschaft kommen. 4 Geschworen hat Jehova, und es wird ihn nicht gereuen: "Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Weise Melchisedeks!"

5 Der Herr zu deiner Rechten zerschmettert Könige am Tage seines Zornes. 6 Er wird richten unter den Nationen, er füllt alles mit *O. voll ist es von Leichen; das Haupt über ein großes Land zerschmettert er. 7 Auf dem Wege wird er trinken aus dem Bache, *O. Aus dem Bache am Wege usw. darum wird er das Haupt erheben.

A Psalm of David.

1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.*110.3 from…: or, more than the womb of the morning: thou shalt have, etc

4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.*110.6 many: or, great

7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
