1 *Ein Stufenlied.Die auf Jehova vertrauen, sind gleich dem Berge Zion, der nicht wankt, der ewiglich bleibt. 2 Jerusalem-Berge sind rings um sie her: so ist Jehova rings um sein Volk, von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. 3 Denn die Rute *O. das Scepter der Gesetzlosigkeit wird auf dem Lose der Gerechten nicht ruhen, damit die Gerechten ihre Hände nicht ausstrecken nach Unrecht.

4 Tue Gutes, Jehova, den Guten und denen, die aufrichtig sind in ihren Herzen! 5 Die aber auf ihre krummen Wege abbiegen, die wird Jehova dahinfahren lassen *O. die lasse Jehova dahinfahren mit denen, welche Frevel tun. Wohlfahrt über Israel!

A Song of degrees.

1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.*125.3 the wicked: Heb. wickedness

4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
