17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, had offered up Isaac, and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten [son],18 of whom it was spoken, "In Isaac your seed shall be called,"19 considering that even from the dead, God [was] able to raise [him up], from which he also received him in a figurative sense.
