2 Corinthians 9

The Cheerful Giver

6 The point is this: *Prov. 11:24,25;22:9;Gal. 6:7,9;[Mal. 3:10;Luke 6:38]whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully*9:6 Greek with blessings; twice in this verse will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, *Deut. 15:10;See ch. 8:12not reluctantly or under compulsion, for *See Ex. 25:2God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And *Phil. 4:19;[Eph. 3:2]God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency*9:8 Or all contentment in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written,

10 He who supplies *Isa. 55:10seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and *[Hos. 10:12]increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 *1 Cor. 1:5You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which *[ch. 1:11]through us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying *ch. 8:14the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.
