Revelation 22

The River of Life

1 Then the angel*22:1 Greek he showed me *Ezek. 47:1;Zech. 14:8;[Ps. 46:4] the river of *See ch. 21:6the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of *ch. 21:21the street of the city; *Ezek. 47:12also, on either side of the river, *ver. 14, 19;ch. 2:7;Gen. 2:9the tree of life*22:2 Or the Lamb. In the midst of the street of the city, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were *[ch. 21:24]for the healing of the nations. 3 *Zech. 14:11;[Gen. 3:17] No longer will there be anything accursed, but *ch. 21:3,23;Ezek. 48:35the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and *ch. 7:15his servants will worship him. 4 *Matt. 5:8;1 Cor. 13:12;1 John 3:2They will see his face, and *ch. 3:12;7:3;14:1his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And *ch. 21:25night will be no more.
