4 Scarcely had I passed them

when I found *[See ver. 1above] him whom my soul loves.

I *[Job 27:6] held him, and would not let him go

until I had *ch. 8:2brought him into my mother’s house,

and into the chamber of *[Hos. 2:5]her who conceived me.
