Jesus and Peter

15 When they had *ver. 12finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, *[Matt. 16:17;Luke 22:31] "Simon, *ch. 1:42son of John, *[Matt. 26:33;Mark 14:29] do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed *ch. 10:11-16;[Isa. 40:11]my lambs."16 He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, *Acts 20:28;1 Pet. 5:2;Rev. 7:17(Gk.)"Tend *[See ver. 15above]my sheep."17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him *[ch. 13:38] the third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, *See ch. 2:25you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed *ver. 16my sheep.
