20 And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And he awoke from his sleep and said, "I will go out as at other times and shake myself free." But he did not know that 1 Sam. 28:15,16the Lord had left him. 22 But the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.
28 Then Samson called to the Lord and said, "O Lord God, Jer. 15:15please remember me and please strengthen me only this once, O God, that I may be avenged on the Philistines for my two eyes."
20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
22 Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.16.22 after…: or, as when he was shaven 28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
20 Then she called, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!"
He awoke from his sleep and thought, "I’ll go out as before and shake myself free." But he did not know that the Lord had left him.
22 But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.
28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, "Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes."
20 Then she cried out, "Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!"
When he woke up, he thought, "I will do as before and shake myself free." But he didn’t realize the Lord had left him.
22 But before long, his hair began to grow back.
28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, "Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes."

22 But his hair began to grow back after it had been shaved.
28 He called out to the Lord, "Lord God, please remember me. 16:28 Jr 15:15 Strengthen me, God, just once more. With one act of vengeance, let me pay back the Philistines for my two eyes."
20 And she said: The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And awaking from sleep, he said in his mind: I will go out as I did before, and shake myself, not knowing that the Lord was departed from him. 22 And now his hair began to grow again. 28 But he called upon the Lord, saying: O Lord God, remember me, and restore to me now my former strength, O my God, that I may revenge myself on my enemies, and for the loss of my two eyes I may take one revenge.
20 Then she said, "The Philistines are on you, Samson!" He woke up, thinking, "I’ll go out, like always, and shake free." He didn’t realize that God had abandoned him.
21,22 The Philistines grabbed him, gouged out his eyes, and took him down to Gaza. They shackled him in irons and put him to the work of grinding in the prison. But his hair, though cut off, began to grow again.
28 And Samson cried out to God:
Master, God!
Oh, please, look on me again,
Oh, please, give strength yet once more.
God!
With one avenging blow let me be avenged
On the Philistines for my two eyes!
