26 In the sixth month the angel *ver. 19Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named *See Matt. 2:23Nazareth, 27 *Matt. 1:16,18to a virgin betrothed*1:27 That is, legally pledged to be married to a man whose name was Joseph, *ch. 2:4;Matt. 1:20of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary.
