28 And he came to her and said, "Greetings, *[Ps. 45:2;Dan. 9:23] O favored one, *Judg. 6:12the Lord is with you!"*1:28 Some manuscripts add Blessed are you among women!29 But *See ver. 12she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for *Acts 7:46you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, *Isa. 7:14you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and *ch. 2:21;Matt. 1:21,25you shall call his name Jesus.
