A Man with a Withered Hand

6 On another Sabbath, *For ver. 6-11, see Matt. 12:9-14;Mark 3:1-6he entered the synagogue *See Mark 6:2and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and the Pharisees *ch. 14:1;20:20;[ch. 11:54] watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, *[John 8:6]so that they might find a reason to accuse him. 8 But *See Matt. 9:4he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man with the withered hand, "Come and stand here." And he rose and stood there. 9 And Jesus said to them, "I ask you, *ch. 14:3is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?"10 And *Mark 3:34;5:32;10:23;[Mark 10:21] after looking around at them all he said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And *[1 Kgs. 13:4]he did so, and his hand was restored.
