Matthew 24

45 "Who then is *ch. 25:21;1 Cor. 4:2;Heb. 3:5the faithful and *ch. 7:24;10:16;25:2wise servant,* 24:45 Or bondservant ; also verses 46, 48, 50 whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?46 *John 13:17;Rev. 16:15Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.47 Truly, I say to you, *ch. 25:21,23he will set him over all his possessions.48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master *ch. 25:5is delayed,’49 and begins to beat his fellow servants*24:49 Or bondservantsand eats and drinks with *1 Thess. 5:7drunkards,50 the master of that servant will come *2 Pet. 3:12;[ch. 25:13]on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know51 and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites.
