A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed

18 *For ver. 18-26, see Mark 5:22-43;Luke 8:41-56While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and *See ch. 8:2knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." 19 And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples. 20 And behold, a woman *Lev. 15:25who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched *ch. 14:36;23:5;[Num. 15:38,39;Deut. 22:12]the fringe of his garment, 21 for she said to herself, "If I only touch his garment, I will be made well." 22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, *ver. 2;See Luke 7:50"Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well."*ch. 15:28;17:18;[ch. 8:13]And instantly*9:22 Greek from that hour the woman was made well. 23 And when Jesus came to the ruler’s house and saw *Rev. 18:22the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, 24 he said, "Go away, for *[Acts 20:10] the girl is not dead but *John 11:4,11sleeping." And they laughed at him. 25 But *Acts 9:40when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and *Mark 9:27;Acts 3:7;9:41took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And the report of this went through all that district.
