18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 2 Cor. 4:17;[1 Pet. 1:5,6]are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for 1 Pet. 4:13;5:1;1 John 3:2;[ch. 2:7]the revealing of the sons of God.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
18 For I consider that 2 Cor. 4:17; (1 Pet. 1:6; 4:13)the sufferings of this present time are not worthy tobecompared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For (2 Pet. 3:13)the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing 8:18 2Co 4:17; 1Pt 4:13 with the glory 8:18 Rm 1:5; Col 3:4; Ti 2:13; 1Pt 5:1 that is going to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation 8:19 Php 1:20 for God’s sons 8:19 1Co 1:7; Col 3:4; 1Pt 1:7,13; 1Jn 3:2 to be revealed.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us. 19 For the expectation of the creature waiteth for the revelation of the sons of God.
18-21 That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.
