27 Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded the head to be brought. So he went and beheaded him in the prison, 28 brought the head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother.What effect do you suppose all that had on the party? The sight of that gory head would be enough to turn anyone’s stomach. (And I wonder what she did with the head.)
